Angel Carrasco, 31, has been captured after a manhunt connected to the death of 23-year-old Nathaly Ramirez.
Carrasco was taken into custody late Wednesday, October 7, after authorities accused him of pushing Ramirez and their 8-month-old daughter from a 15th-floor balcony in the Bronx.
Ramirez died from her injuries. Miraculously, her baby survived the fall and remains hospitalized.
Carrasco had been considered armed and dangerous during the search. Yes, the disturbing image circulating online is real. The NYPD released a wanted poster containing an image that appears to show Carrasco holding a knife.
Carrasco now faces charges including murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, attempted manslaughter and assault.
This remains an active criminal case, and the charges are allegations unless and until proven in court.
